Book of papers
The Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar, VERN' University, the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) and the Euro Mediterranean Academic Network (EMAN) published the Book of Papers. The Book is the result of 2nd International Multidisciplinary Scientific Conference MIC – Vis, 2018 and it contains selected papers presented at the Conference. The Book comprises 55 papers and covers 14 areas (Art, Culture, History, Tradition, Economy, Tourism, Sustainable Development, Public Services, Migration, Security, Geography, Communication, Education and Sport).
Apart from the scientific part of the conference, participants enjoyed a diversified and exciting social program which included a guided tour around the island, student photo exhibition The Mediterranean, an open air concert of traditional Dalmatian songs by the a capella group (klapa) Liket and a gala dinner which was organized by the local high school.
The goal of MIC - Vis 2018 Conference was to offer some solutions to the challenges that the Mediterranean islands are facing. We believe that this conference has at least partly been successful in this and we hope that some conference solutions will be implemented in the future and that they will contribute to the development of islands. With these thoughts we are slowly turning to the preparations for the new MIC - Vis, 2020 conference.
See you in two years at the MIC – Vis, 2020!
